Marin Energy authority purchases 25% Green Power

Marin Energy Authority (Calif) must purchase more than 42 million-kilowatt hours (kWh) per year to 25% of the electricity used for the Marin County communities. The purchase is the biogas, biomass and wind through the Shell Energy North America. Purchase size was large enough to Marin Energy authority of EPA's Top 20 list of the largest purchasers of green power in the local governments nationwide for the first time, the Number 13.

Marin Energy Authority operates Marin clean energy, a program that offers its guests 25-100% Clean renewable Energy option. Marin community choice aggregation (CCA) program with the add-in will continue to exist in the local electricity delivered and invoiced to consumers, but CCA specifies the source and the generation of the price paid.
